THEME: Original Character Creation Contest


DISCRIPTION:

I challenge you to CREATE a humanoid character that represent an object

RULES:

The character must be ORIGINAL and submitted after I publish this contest

The character must be a HUMANOID. It means that you can’t create a character like “spongebob” to represent a sponge (for example).

You can represent any object BUT, it must a gadget made by human and it is exist. For example: Watch, motor-cycle, car, cellphone, processor, speaker, missile, bomb, gun,etc… You are NOT allowed to create a character based on animals or nature or other fantasy-thing.

The character must have same function with the original object.

The character must have few part from the original object (depend’s on your imagination). It can be a part of the body or a costume.

If the original object have a brand/trademark, you must write it on the character. Somewhere on his/her body or costume.

It would be better if you show how does the character working like the original object

It can be an artwork or a character sheet (design).

One Entry represent one character.

One artist max 3 entries. But you can only win ONCE.

Must be colored artwork. Digital / traditional are allowed .

Any drawing style are allowed. Anime style is recomended

This contest is open for everyone inside DA.

SCORING GUIDE :

There will be a two kinds of scoring. Personal scoring and public vote. Max point is 100. My personal scoring up to 70 and public vote up to 30. It means that I only affect 70% of total score and public affect 30% of total score.

This is the description:

The “compatibility” between the original object and the character -> 20%
Originallity, Creativity, Idea, Attractivity -> 35%
Quality of artwork (coloring technique, anatomy, etc) -> 15%
Public score -> 30%
TOTAL: 100%

With this scoring guide, You can see that the creativity is the most important thing. So, for those who think that “I doesn’t have a chance to win with my drawing skills” IT IS ALL WRONG! As long as your concept is original,creative, attractive, then YOU HAVE A BIG CHANCE TO WIN. So, What’s stopping you?!

1st winner : One full CG anime style from me- colored digital work, One manual artwork (pencil artwork) from me, Featured in my journal for 2 months.

2nd winner: One manual artwork (pencil artwork), Featured in my journal for 2 months.

3rd winner: One free sketch (manual) and Featured in my journal for 2 months.

Post in this journal for entering and Mention what object or gadget that you’ll draw. I’ll create a list of it so the other contestant can also see. Because one of the scoring aspect is “ORIGINALITY” it would be better that you decide a different object than other contestant.

You can change the object many time until you submit your work. If your work has been submit, You can’t change the object/gadget.
